Effect of Double-Pulse Characteristics on Weld Bead Formation and Mechanical Properties in Metal Inert Gas Welding

Aluminum alloy has been widely used due to its excellent workability, and double-pulse metal inert gas welding (MIG) become a popular technique in aluminum welding. In this study, cross-complementary test was performed study the effect of characteristics on weld bead formation mechanical properties MIG The carried out an AA6061 using flat overlaying After welding, micro-metallographic structure macro-mechanical performance were explored. results showed that two methods increasing base current amplitude or low-frequency effectively enhanced oscillation molten pool, refined grain size fusion zone, improved weld. Additionally, by comparing macroscopic photograph specimen corresponding parameters test, bead’s fish-scale pattern found when appropriate adopted good. This result provides strong scientific basis for selection actual promotion application
